I would be interested to hear from anyone who has any memories, photos, reports or results from this or any of the LM Road Racing events organised by the Cheltenham Motor Club for by book project about all the different motor sports held on the airfield from 1956 to present day.

I competed in the 250cc race. In the final my TZ refused to fire and I was last away, exhausted from pushing for so long.
With only three left hand hairpins I was able to move through the field, I was very angry and forced my way past. I remember out braking Alex Taylor on Denis Trollope’s bike at the top hairpin and looking at him when he tried to hold me off. I was sure they added an extra lap to see how far I could get!
I was in second when I crossed the line and felt another lap and I would have passed the winner. Sadly my ego and anger did not record who won.
